One latest report says that strict standards imposed by Apple have put the workers on strike in a Chinese factory because they don’t think it’s possible to meet that level of quality.

China Labor Watch that monitors the working conditions in factories, located in China, revealed that the iPhone production in Zhengzhou based factory has been facing a stoppage because of the quality inspectors and workers who went on strike.
Foxconn plant, being the mega manufacturer, is having a serious conflict between the management and the workers. That work stoppage is given the name of strike by the China Labor Watch Group. The reason of the strike is the strict standards of iPhone quality.
The quality control inspectors have stopped working in both day and evening shifts, said china Labor Watch in the press release. The workers who went on strike are 3,000-4,000 in number, a serious and alarming figure.
The conflict started when the workers were asked to come on holiday and that wasn’t compensated in any other vacation and the high expectations of quality by Apple. The situation reached to the physical confrontations, leading to the injuries, of both the workers and the inspectors sides, revealed in the press release by Labor Watch Group.
The management didn’t take notice of the serious confrontation between the workers and inspectors and that make the workers dare to beat up the inspectors many times. All it has lead to the work stoppage, both from the inspectors and the workers, on the factory floor.
It’s second time when disturbances in the premises of Foxconn factory erupt. It has been becoming a common practice in the Chinese factories where workers stop working and it’s resulting nothing else but harm to the factory production. Chinese workers demand salary raises and healthy working conditions, that’s their right if quality is the prime concern from the manufacturers or the big names of the technology world.
