This is the combination of the short from of Computer as Comp and PAQ to denote a short integral.
COREL:
The name came from the founders name Dr. Michael Cowpland. It stands for COwpland REsearchLaboratory.
Google:
Actually the name was initially was GOOGOL which means 1 followed by 100 zeros.When the Stanford Graduates whet to one investor for the investment of Google then they got the cheque and the name over the cheque was Google.So, the name started as Google.
HEWLETT PACKARD(hp):
The founders name are Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard and before deciding the name they tossed a coin and decided whether the name will be Hewlett-Packard or Packard-Hewlett.Finally it was Hewlett-Packard.
Intel:
The founder of the Intel is Bob Noyce and Gordon Moore.So, they decided to name the company as Moore Noyce.But it was already trademarked by a chain hotel company.So,they changed their mind and kept the name as INTegrated ELectronics.
