Facebook notification is a kind of thing which we get when someone likes your post, comments on your post, if someone comments after your post,if someone tags you and from different application of Facebook.If you are having a lot number of friends in Facebook,then the number of notification you will get is also large and sometimes it is irritating to check all the notification from all the sources.Because some notifications are useless and is having less importance to you.

Steps to Reduce Notification in Facebook:
1. At first you need to click on the “Globe” icon which is on your Facebook home.Then check if you have got any notification from any group or event.If yes then there must be one “Cross” sign on the upper right corner like the below picture which is for “Turn Off” notification :
You need to click on the cross sign to turn off notification from that specific network.
Now you will see one picture like below which will ask for the confirmation to turn off notification from that network:
If you click on “Turn off” then you are done.
2. You can also go to a specific link in Facebook which is http://www.facebook.com/editaccount.php?notifications where you will get the options for customizing the number of notification from different events and groups and from different applications.If you go to that page the picture will look like below and just click on any application.Then on the right side you will get small boxes with tick mark.
Blank those boxes from which you do not need notifications.In this way you will be able to reduce a lot number of notification.
