The Wired 2012 conference was a two day series of talks and presentations over the weekend of the 26th October, and explored ideas and innovations which are changing the landscape of technology today, challenging the status quo and investigating new ways of thinking. The results of this event uncovered some exciting new advances in the technological industry, featuring some very special guests.

One of the high profile speakers who appeared was supermodel and entrepreneur Lily Cole, who spoke about a platform called Impossible which encourages people to do things for each other for free.

The model, who is its founder, said “technology was never something that I was particularly interested in or would consider myself working in, but I feel inspired by the potential for technology to be the driver for social change”.

After a lot of research into the art of giving and receiving, and the interaction between people when they do things for others without payment, Cole settled on the idea of making Impossible a social enterprise.

She had failed twice to launch it commercially so, despite concerns that investors would not get involved with the optimistic project, she went ahead and found a developer to make the site. It started on a very positive note, when her third developer offered to construct the site for free in the spirit of the philanthropic project, which is based on “cooperation, not competition; abundance, not scarcity”.

What is most exciting about Cole’s feel-good idea is the potentially revolutionary way it could change people’s online interactions. With a website dedicated to helping others, Impossible will hopefully inspire people to think outside of the box, to do things for free for each other and, most importantly, to enjoy it. The social landscape is becoming a great deal more diverse, creative and pioneering ideas, so this seems to slot in well. Social interaction is becoming more and more important as a more primary communication tool, so this has great potential.

If you want any idea which you want to implement in the world of internet, the first thing you need to do is to buy a custom domain and you will have to host the domain with a web hosting service. The cost will be less than $5 a month. But just by spending this small amount of money, you can be a proud owner of a website or a blog, through which you can earn money online without any investment. To start your first online website or blog, the best web hosting plan which I can recommend you is either the hatchling or baby hosting plan of Hostgator. Why Hostgator? Why I am Using Hostgator as Hosting Company for the Last 4 Years!
