As you know Google is going very strictly on link building, And Google robots is checking all the things as a human. If there are most of the activities have been listed in black list then what to do? Now these days, People just read a little information on Google updates and take down all the activities which have been warned by Google.

If we depend on only one activity like Guest post which works better for Google then it may take much time to get ranked. I think it’s not a great idea to depend on one activity to get visible on Google. We should have to do all the things but in a different way than before.
You may follow all of the activities like directory submission, article submission, classifieds submission, social bookmarking, Blog commenting and Guest posting. There are some other ways to maintain your client’s brand value by writing business reviews or products reviews. It may help your clients to get more popular online. If you are going to do all the things in a natural way then you will never get penalize by Google.
While doing all the activities makes sure you are going in a natural way. Now you may have a question like that “what do mean by natural link building”. It mean don’t go very frequently on specific one. If you are going to do directory submission or other activities then don’t do 50-100 submission on a same day. I would suggest you to set a frequency for it.
I would like to suggest you to make a different plan for all projects based on their requirements. Suppose if you are working as SEO for a country specific website then you should have to focus more on local listing. It may help your client to get local visitors.
If you want to gain domain authority of your site then guest post works better. Blog commenting on some of the high authorized pages also helps to gain Google PR as well as domain authority.
If you are going to follow all the factors in a natural way then Google will not penalize your site and it may help your site to get ranked soon.
