Therefore, tip number one: be original! Your readers will thank you for it and you’ll become a better writer too. After some time you’ll develop your own writing style. If you are doing a good job and start publishing on blogs with a lot of traffic people will start to recognize you and even start following you on social media channels like twitter and Google plus. Readers like writers with a fresh view! Your audience will definitely expand when you keep your content fresh, original and intriguing.

2.Be Passionate:
If you have your own blog it is important you update it regularly. Therefore: write on something that you are passionate about (top bloggers of the world are passionate bloggers!). When you read a piece you can often tell if the writer of the article is passionate about what he or she writes about. Most blogs don’t even make it through their first year. Before you start your blog think if you really, really want to have your own blog. Are you passionate enough to write for your blog at least three times a week? If not, don’t even start. If you are passionate enough though, you can become successful. You’ll write about something you love and it will show in your articles. You’ll notice that your writing improves and your audience and followers start to expand.

3. Be Real:
Blogging is not only about educating your readers but people like to know about your experiences with the subject and your stories. Be real. Be yourself. Feel free to express your opinion, especially when it conflicts with the general consensus. Maybe it’s even better when you stand out from the crowd. When you, for instance, like to write about cars and you have a clear opinion about a model that just arrived on the market, don’t shy away from telling your readers your truth. Your opinion might be controversial, strange or outspoken but your readers will appreciate your honesty. It will make them want to engage on your website and add comments.

4. Think Outside the Box:
Think outside the box. Let’s go back to the example of you having a car blog. You’ll need to keep in mind that there is already plenty of content written about cars. Actually, a simple Google search for the word ‘car’ gave over two billion search results. You can count on it to find plenty of reviews on cars on most of the websites. But how many websites have written about the coolest car museums in the world? Or the car you would buy if you won the lottery? In other words: don’t follow the herd but think outside the box. Next time you want to write something for your blog keep these things in mind. Be original, be passionate, be real and think outside the box. Your readers will appreciate it!
