If you have a Gmail account then i am sure that you are using your Google drive. Do you know that it is really easy to import data from Webpage to your Google drive? Yes, i am going to show you how.

Suppose you want to know the name of the universities in Canada as you want to apply to Canadian universities. So, suppose you are searching with the key word “list of Canadian universities” and i am sure you will get the Wikipedia result as the number one search result. Now, you want to copy the name of the universities from the webpage because you want to keep the data for future use. So, the best option is open your Google drive and open one new spreadsheet.

Now you can easily import the data from the webpage to your Google drive spreadsheet. You do not need to be a programmer to do so. Just one simple code can copy all the data to your Google drive.

Just double click any of the cell in your spreadsheet and then put “equal” sign+ importHTML and then put the “url” of the webpage “within inverted comma” and then use one “comma” and then  put “table” and then comma and number like 1 or 2. The format is like below:

“=importHTML(“URL”,”table”, 1)”

Now just enter and you will get all the data from that webpage table. You can change the table number like 1, 2, 3 and you will get data one after another. You can see the live demo from the above GIF image.
