“Facebook is not making or planning to add a dislike button!!!” No Dislike Button will Be Added in Facebook!
If you have got the news about Facebook’s new dislike button and everyone is planning to click the dislike button on someone’s post then this post can give you the exact information about this dislike button rumor. Well, first of all, before believing this news, you should think twice. Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg are not that dumb to introduce and integrate a dislike button in Facebook because a Dislike Button will increase the fight among individuals. People can click on the dislike button intentionally. So, Facebook will loose its popularity and will loose business. Facebook is not going to do that. Then what Facebook is going to do?
Well, in the recent Q&A one of the journalists asked a question and the actual question was from Sayad from Cairo who asked, “Mark, We need to have more options than just to have like button. Why don’t you have other options like “I am sorry”, “Interesting” or “Dislike” ?”. Mark was listening to the question carefully and he answered in a very smart way. Then what actually Zuck said?
Watch the video and you will be able to decide the conclusion by yourself:
“I think people have asked about the Dislike button for many years…today is the day where I actually get to say that we’re working on it, and are very close to shipping a test of it.”
“we didn’t want to just build a Dislike button because we don’t want to turn Facebook into a forum where people are voting up or down on people’s posts. That doesn’t seem like the kind of community we want to create.”
What is Missing Now in Facebook’s Feedback Mechanism ?
Mark said –
“People aren’t looking for an ability to down-vote other people’s posts. What they really want is to be able to express empathy. Not every moment is a good moment, right? And if you are sharing something that is sad, whether it’s something in current events like the refugee crisis that touches you or if a family member passed away, then it might not feel comfortable to Like that post.”
I believe now you understand Mark did not tell about a dislike button on Facebook. So, this is clear that Facebook does not even a plan in future to add a dislike button. No dislike button.
