Although Smart Watches have been around for years, they’re nothing close to what we can expect to be released this year. Here’s all you need to know about the top, highly anticipated Smart Watches expected in 2013.
Sony Smart Watch:
Can’t wait for the rumors to become reality? Well, Sony’s Smart Watch has already been released. Bluetooth connectivity, social networking and a touch screen are just a few of the incredible features of the Sony Smart Watch. This little number from Sony not only looks super futuristic on your wrist with its slim-line, less is more design but it’s main feature is that it allows you to connect your Smart Watch to your Android phone and collect calls, messages and emails right from the OLED display. If you’re looking for something to match your new suit, it comes with different straps and colors for every outfit. Hey, it even tells the time! We expect all Sony fans to be wearing these in 2013.
Apple’s iWatch :
Although this one is still in the rumor mill, it is so great that it is expected to take over the iPhone. The iWatch is set to be more of a “wearable computer” and will be able to connect with your iPhone or iPad. Apple has apparently brought Intel on board to develop the product that is sure to set the 2013 gadget market alight. Apple’s new baby is expected to launch within the next 4 to 6 months and will incorporate a touchscreen much like the one in the iPod Nano.
Casio G-Shock GB-6900
Another smart watch that is already available for purchase but just can’t be left out of the list of greats is the Casio G-Shock GB-6900. This impressive power-friendly gadget can apparently run for up to two whole years without needing a new battery. This Casio is similar in appearance to the old school Casio’s we grew up with, in fact it’s so similar that many won’t even be able to tell that it does anything more than tells time, and that’s the charm of it! Other features include Bluetooth connectivity, email access, call ID and alerts. The niftiest feature that this Casio smart watch has is the ability to ensure that you never leave your mobile phone behind. Ever! The GB-6900 alerts you when you’ve moved too far away from your phone and ensures that you’re never too far away from your primary device.
Google’s Smart Watch
Also in the works for 2013, the Google Smart Watch. A design has already been patented by Google and it features a great little flip-up display screen. The watch is set to have the ability to give directions, retrieve information on products and retrieve email notifications. Although not much has been released on this one besides the design, we can always expect Google to blow us out of the water.
