Lets Start the Cleaning Process:
First off, dig up your instruction manual from wherever you threw it, certain that you might never need it, and start reading. Check for any manufacturer advice about the device’s cleaning and how to avoid breaking the device’s warranty. You can find all sorts of useful information inside despite manuals being the first thing a user throws away the second he or she opens the package. But manuals do have the information you need when cleaning it because they tell you what your cellphone is resistant to and what it is vulnerable to, and things you should avoid doing with it.
Cleaning the Outside of the Phone Properly:
Turn your phone off. It does not need to be turned on, and since you will later on be removing the battery, you should not shut it down forcefully. Find a microfiber cloth – this is the best tool for cleaning phones as it is soft enough not to cause damage, and it has a great surface that reaches and cleans up everything you drag it across. Some may prefer to use paper towels as they are safe and easy to remove if they start falling apart, and even cotton swabs – it is ultimately your choice, but the microfiber cloth is one of the best solutions for such a task. Other than that, a bit more expensive solution is to check your local stores for a pack of wipes specifically for cellphone cleaning.
Start the cleaning with dipping the cloth in some warm water, then squeezing out as much of the water as you can until the cloth is only moist. Drag it across the front, back, and sides of your cellphone, removing any traces of grime and grease. If you are using a protector sheet over your display, remove it and clean the screen, then wipe it dry and carefully put the sheet back over the screen, trying not to make any annoying folds. Then take a disinfectant and wipe the whole cellphone again – after all, you hold on to it every day, and put it to your ear, a little hygiene will do wonders for both you and the cellphone.
Cleaning the Inside of the Cellphone:
Now comes the hard part of cleaning the inside of the cellphone. Carefully crack open the case and remove the battery, your SIM card, and any memory card you might have. Now, whatever cleaner you have chosen for the job, do not spray it or spill it directly into the cellphone! Dip the towel, cloth, sponge, swab of cotton, or whatever else you have decided upon, into the cleaner and shake it until it is only moist. And remember – this is not oven cleaning! The key thing about cleaning the cellphone is being gentle. You should not push too hard or you might break any of the mini-components of the device, and you should not push too light or you will not get anything done. Don’t go scrubbing as if carpet cleaning. Look for the golden middle and use just about the right amount of pressure. Gently swab all around the cellphone, looking to touch every surface you can, and after that wait until the moist dries out, or dry it yourself with a dry cloth or cotton. Put back the SIM card and the battery, and close the case again. Congratulations, your phone is now clean!
To maintain such cleanliness, think about buying yourself a cellphone pouch, or why not even a case protector to go with the screen protector. Both of them will get in the way of every piece of dirt trying to reach your cellphone and will keep it cleaner for as long as possible.
Its good to see that there is an article helping us to clean our mobile phone with step by step procedure.
Thank you for sharing…
Almost all of us have mobile phones but keeping it clean is also necessary. One should never wait for the phone to get dirty. Use a mobile phone cover for safety and cleanliness so that you can remove the cover and clean it with appropriate solution and a lint free micro fibre cloth on timely basis. Most phones come with a cleaning cloth & if not they you can buy it from a pharmacy or a eyeglass store nearby you. I really liked the important tip you wrote about not throwing off the manuals booklet that comes with a new phone as this is the most ignored thing after a week or month when most of us become use too with the features of the phone.
