You will be allotted a specific amount of space in which you will be able to store your files as much as you want.
The iOS has been taking advantage of the cloud for quite some time. This is why people with iPhones, iPads, or other Apple related products are so happy. They actually had an option that would allow them to store and access all of their files no matter what system that they were on. Microsoft took this cue and added one more step by being able to add on their gaming console, the Xbox 360.
The benefit of the SkyDrive can mean a completely different world for gamers. They will no longer have to purchase a game for each one of the devices. You will be able to not only access the games, but you can simply pull up where you left off in your game no matter what Microsoft powered device that you are on and using at the time.
Overall the SkyDrive can be extremely useful and convenient. The fact that it is now available for the Xbox 360 is amazing. It is an extremely useful investment, and it will be interesting to see how Microsoft is able to adapt their programs to work with it. It could be the very near future when gamers begin to have the option of playing the same game on three different devices while using the same remote. Eventually it may even eliminate the console altogether and create a way that the tablet or Smartphone works as the console that people have loved for so many years.
