The Top LCD Televisions of 2013

Much has changed between human beings and technology over the past thirty or so years. We now browse the internet constantly throughout the day, take and watch videos on our mobile phones and constantly fiddle with these devices texting almost every other minute of the day. We can also watch films and television programs on our PCs, tablet PCs and even mobile phones. However, despite all of our technological progress, one thing that hasn’t quite changed is our inclination to spend large portions of our days sat in front of the television. Despite the introduction of the internet and what not, televisions still stand strong and grace practically every living room throughout the United Kingdom, in which they’re used in abundance. In 2013, televisions are still as precious as ever and here are the top LCD TVs to be available in 2013.

To get a specific idea about LCD television, you can check my article “LED vs LCD Tvs, What’s Better?“.

Samsung 110-inch 4K LED:

We human beings have a bit of a preoccupation with size. Basically, when it comes to mobile technology products we crave that which is small enough to be chic but big enough to fully enjoy. When it comes to TVs however, the equation is simple: the bigger the product, the better.

Samsung seem to have applied this logic and have unveiled a prototype for a whopping 110-inch 4K LED television.

This ultra HD television can be expected in the second half of 2013 and will be known as the Samsung UN85S9.

Sony 4K OLED TV:

Dubbed the world’s largest 4K OLED television, Sony’s 4K OLED TV is a beast of a television.

This television is cut from the same DNA that formed the beautiful Sony XEL-1 and thus is rightfully expected to be amongst the televisions of the year.

With a resolution of 3840 x 2160, an incredibly slim width and a 4K/UHD resolution, the 4K OLED TV is amongst the most anticipated TVs of 2013. This is the type of TV that’ll encourage me to sell my iPhone and whatever else I have of worth to try and afford (although mobile phone recycling will hardly pay for the 4K OLED TV’s probable highly costly price).

Panasonic TC-VT60:

Those who know their television technology will know all about Panasonic’s VT50. The television, released in 2012 was one of the best ever and as its successor, the VT60 is much to be excited about.

Panasonic have had a great success rate in developing plasma TVs over the past few years, and so it’s only natural to expect their products to once again dominate the LCD market this year.

The VT60 series is available in 55, 60 and 65-inch screen sizes and is expect to boast even better anti-reflecting screen capabilities than the VT50 and an improved motion resolution to its predecessor.

Pricing is not yet available, however 55 and 60-inch sized versions of the television are expected to ship sometime in April, while a 65-inched version will soon follow in May.
