Tips to Hang LED Christmas Lights Properly

More often than not, we see most people out there replacing their old incandescent lights with the new trend – LED Christmas lights. There are many reason because of which the LED technology is better than the old one, but we have discussed this lots of times and this is why we will not pay attention to this right now. However, we would like to talk about the proper and right way thanks to which you should be able to hang your LED Christmas lights. We know it might sound easy, but it actually is not because you have to be careful not to damage them.

1. Press the Light Clip : 

 The first thing you need to do is to press the light clip on the surface. This states in case you are making some kind of design – it is important to put all those lights clips in the spots you want. Then push the wire, not the LED bulb through the small gap and lock the clip.

 2. Wrap the Light Strand from the Bottom of the Tree: 

The next thing you have to do is to plug the light strand into the socket. In case you want to wrap your LED lights on the tree, it is recommended to start from the bottom of the tree and continue upwards. Walk around the tree and move the strand higher. You can stop once you reach the end of the tree.

3. Tear a Piece from the Light Roll: 

It might not be a bad idea to tear of a 4” peace of packing from the roll. The reason why you have to do this is to hold the light strand against the surface. Then you have to place the tape on the cord by using your finger and pushing the tape on the very surface.

4. Section-wise Lighting: 

Make three section of the Christmas tree and try to string lights by section. You need to plug the light on before you do the arrangement which will help you to spot the dark lights. Start from the bottom and weave each string in and out through each branches up to top and back.

5. Tricky Front View Lighting:

If your tree is only visible by the passersby and they cannot see the back of your tree then you can only decorate the front of the tree so that you can make it with less number of light and there is no extra usage.

6. Always Choose Waterproof Lights:

This is very important to choose waterproof lights to avoid any kind of accident. There may be rain or fog from which water can wet the tree or the lights. So, to avoid any accident it would be just awesome if you select the water proof bulbs only.

Using LED lights for decorating your homes at various events specially on Christmas is really a fun but if you don’t know the way to hang them properly you’ll end up wasting your time and money. So keep the above-mentioned simple things in mind while enhancing the value of your home at any grand event.
